Who We Are
Equine Training Australia is dedicated to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training for the next generation of equine professionals — guided by a deep passion for horse welfare, practical expertise, and the highest standards of care, ethics and safety.
What We Do
We deliver nationally recognised vocational training in equine allied health — a field we believe deserves the same professional rigour as any other health discipline. Our programs are built around horse welfare, real industry standards, and genuine career outcomes.
We stay at the forefront of the latest technology and scientific advancements, ensuring our students receive education that blends tradition with innovation. Training takes place at one of Australia's premier equine facilities — giving students access to real horses, real client scenarios, and real working conditions from day one.
Trained Nationally & Internationally. Still Working in the Field.
Our trainers aren't retired practitioners — they are active, successful professionals running their own equine businesses across Australia and internationally. They bring current, real-world knowledge into every training block, not textbook theory from a decade ago.
They have trained at the highest levels, nationally and internationally, and they remain deeply embedded in their fields. What drives them to teach is a genuine passion for bringing the next generation of practitioners into a profession they love.
Where We Train
Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre, Tamworth
Practical training is delivered at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth, NSW — one of Australia's premier equine facilities.
Tamworth is an ideal training location: a major horse region with a strong local equine community, excellent access to horses of all types, and a wide range of accommodation for travelling students. AELEC offers dedicated classrooms, high-quality stable blocks, and ample space for the horses treated during practical training.
Tamworth is well connected by road and air, making it accessible for students travelling from across Australia.
Accreditation
Nationally Recognised Training
ETA operates under the umbrella of Australian Training Plus, a registered training organisation (RTO) approved to deliver nationally recognised qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
This means the qualification you earn with us — the Diploma of Equine Allied Health (ACM50521) — is registered on the national training register, formally recognised across Australia, and issued under a compliant, government-approved RTO.
When you enrol with ETA, you're enrolling in a nationally accredited program — not a private certificate. Your qualification carries weight across the industry and across the country.
